Spring Pillows

Hello folks!

Is everyone sick of the cold and the snow yet? I know I am! Well cheer up, the first day of spring is only about a month away! Granted, it won’t actually be warm and sunny right away, but it’s a light at the end of the winter tunnel.

To keep my own spirits up, I celebrate every little baby step toward the spring/summer season. I  also start to put together a few things that I will put out for spring decor. This week I started with a couple of pillows, because who doesn’t love some seasonal decorative pillows?!

I  bought an adorable Hare printed pillow for $30 & a small grain sack for $15 at a local antique shop with the intentions of using them together.

The grain sack had some very faint print left on it (I actually liked that the print was really faded and subtle) and there were no stains or rips on the sack, which was a plus.

I stuffed it with a feather pillow insert, it was a perfect fit.

And then I sewed the edge closed to make a pillow.

I will combine the newly created grain sack pillow and the Hare pillow on my living room couch this Easter season. Two lovely pillows for $45 is a pretty good deal!

It’s the little things that get me through the winter y’all, and these two help do the trick!

I hope they have given your spirits a lift if they were down, and perhaps a bit of inspiration to start thinking Spring. I have also been pinning ideas for the season on Pinterest. There is some really adorable, fun stuff on this board, so stop by and check it out!

    1. Thanks Cynthia! I picked that pillow up at a local shop called Silver Bell Farm in Glenmore, PA :) Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. I love these two pillows, Karen! Especially the hare one!! You’ve got me dreaming of spring now! Have a wonderful rest of the week! xo

  2. I love them! Sorry, but we are fortunate where I live in TX – no ice or snow yet. We have had warm sunshine. Hope the ice & snow disappears in the rest of the country really soon.
